The Board of the Edithvale Aspendale Sporting Club Inc held its inaugural meeting on 28 September and now invite applications from suitably qualified and eligible individuals for the following positions

•Independent Chair 1

•Two (2) Independent Directors

1 Eligibility Criteria

1.The Independent Chair and Independent Directors (Appointed Directors) will not be a current or past President, Vice President, committee member, official or staff member of an Affiliated Club but can be a member of an Affiliated Club. They will bring specific governance, professional and technical skills sets to the Board to compliment the Board's overall skill profile and standing.

Applications including a covering letter and current CV should be addressed and emailed to Rebekah Middlemiss, Corporate Secretary, via bek@bubblegumcreative.com by no later than 31 October 2021 All applications need to outline the skills and attributes you bring to the role. These are honorary positions and are not paid. Out of pocket expenses accrued whilst on official Board business will be reimbursed.

We encourage applications from community centered individuals with experience and skills in governance, legal, sponsorship acquisition and activation marketing and public relations, human resources and facility management as well as previous board experience.

The next phase of our exciting ‘game-changer‘ pavilion redevelopment project has commenced.

The Club welcomes the commencement of the community consultation process and assures the community that we recognize the responsibility attached to being the custodian of this magnificent new community asset. A new contemporary governance structure (incorporating a true overarching sporting club with a skills based board involving representatives from all affiliated clubs, an independent chair and 2 independent directors) will ensure the facility is professionally managed and acts as a responsible neighbor.

With an eye on the sporting and general needs of the community, this environmentally sustainable development does not impact or remove any trees currently present and includes energy efficient construction.
